Smouha to face Kenya’s Ulinzi Star in CAF Confederation Cup

Smouha will be facing Kenyan side Ulinzi Star in the round of 32 of the CAF Confederation Cup after Ulinzi Star defeated Al Hilal Benghazi on penalties.

The Alexandria-based club reached the Confederation Cup after finshing third in the Egyptian Premier League last season and jumped to the round of 32 thanks to the draw.

The Kenyan Premier League side was able to win their second leg match against Al Hilal 1-0 which made the score 1-1 on aggregate. The team later earned their qualification after winning penalties.

Smouha will host the first leg match in Alexandria on weekend of March 10-12 while the second leg will be in Kenya and is set to be held between 17 and 19 March.
