FIFA upholds decision to deduct points from Ittihad Jeddah
Ittihad Jeddah announced through an official statement that FIFA declined the club’s request to stop FIFA’s decision to deduct three points from the team in the league.
Saudi Football Association revealed earlier that FIFA will deduct three points from Ittihad Jeddah due to a case filed against the club as they failed to pay late dues to former player Daniel Alejandro.
The club’s administration said that the decision was made despite the great efforts made to stop it by the board. Even though the three points will have a big impact on the team’s position in the table, the club said that they trust that fans and players will be able to push the team and compete to win the title.
The Tigers are currently in third place in the Saudi Professional League behind Al Nassr in second place and Al Hilal who are on top of the table.
