Kenya’s Ayub Masika completes move to China’s League One
Belgian Club Lierse SK has confirmed on its official website that it has accepted an offer from Beijing Renhe F.C. for the services of Ayub Masika.
The Kenya international joined Lierse from K.R.C. Genk in the 2016 summer transfer window, and his impressive displays have caught the attention of Beijing Renhe FC. The 24-year-old winger scored six goals in 20 appearances with the club this season.
Beijing Renhe FC was relegated to the second division in China in 2015 and secured a fourth place finish in the 2015-2016 season. The new season will begin in the first week of March.
The Belgian club also stated that the transfer will give the club financial stability and will give the player a new journey and opportunity. However, the club’s main goal is to focus on the league and secure a promotion play-off spot.
