UEFA Champions League trophy to visit Egypt
The UEFA Champions League trophy will visit Cairo on a two-day tour in April, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Wednesday.
The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour gives fans from different cities around the world the chance to see the prestigious trophy up-close, and take pictures with it.
The EFA announced that the Cup would reach Cairo on April 5 on a trip that will last for two days.
The European Cup will visit several archeological sites in the capital as it is expected to visit the Pyramids of Giza on the first day. The trophy will then be on display at the Egyptian museum on April 6.
This is not the first time that a major football trophy visited Cairo, as the FIFA World Cup trophy visited the Egyptian capital in 2013.
