Egypt legend and Wadi Degla goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary said that he’ll quit the Egyptian Premier League at the end of the season.

The veteran goalkeeper has reportedly slapped teammate Khaled Walid at the training camp and Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ decided to exclude him from Wadi Degla’s squad which faced Al Ahly on Thursday.

“I may leave Wadi Degla now or at the end of this season,’’ El-Hadary told DMC sports channel.

“There is an agreement between me and Maged Samy, Wadi Degla Chairman, from two months ago that allows me to leave the club if I received a suitable offer from countries which still have their transfer window open.

“I also may join Lierse S.K if the club got promoted to Belgian first division A,’’ El-Hadary concluded.

The 44-year-old has made 15 appearances for Wadi Degla this season, conceding 18 goals and keeping 6 clean sheets.
