Smouha duo ruled out for season with ACL injury
Smouha SC have confirmed that duo Mahmoud Sayed and Omar Saad have both torn their anterior cruciate ligament during league match against Tanta.
The duo could miss up to a year of football action following the injury in a 2-0 loss against Tanta in the 20th round of the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
Smouha now look to reassess their line-up in the following month during the international break and climb up the league table as they face ENPPI on the 23rd of March.
Mahmoud Sayed has made 20 appearances for the Blues this season, scoring five goals and assisting three times while left-back Omar Saad, who was on Al Ahly and Zamalek radars, made 16 appearances, assisting only once.
It’s worth mentioning that Smouha’s defenders Mahmoud Ezzat and Mansou Kouakou have torn their ACL at the start of this season, and are expected to return this April.
