Mali U20 coach: We aim to win our match against Egypt
In the pre-match conference, Mali’s U20 head coach Baye Ba states that his team is only concentrating on winning their first game against Egypt.
On his target in this tournament, Ba stated, “Of course the title, but we have to climb our target step by step. First we aim to win our clash against Egypt tomorrow, then qualify to the next round and then the world cup.”
When asked if his team are favorites to win the title, the CAF coach of the year nominee said, “We are always favorites but we have to play each game on the field and these players are here to mainly represent their country.”
He added, “Most of my players are playing in Mali’s top league division and players such as Abdoue Dante play for big European team like Anderlecht.”
The Pharaohs are set to start their U20 African Cup of Nations journey with their clash against Mali at 6:oo pm CLT.
