Pioli answers: Will Salah be key man for Roma against Inter?
Inter Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke about the importance of Sunday’s clash with AS Roma, saying that his side can win if they remain focused for the full 90 minutes.
The Nerazzurri will host the Giallorossi at the San Siro on Sunday in gameweek 26 of the Serie A. Inter are fourth in the league standings with 48 points, eight away from second-placed Roma.
The 51-year-old coach believes the winner of the upcoming clash will be “whoever hits the opponent’s weak points”. He added that both teams are very close to each other in terms of form, possession and goals.
“It will be a very important game. We have done everything within our powers to make sure we head into this game relatively close to Roma in the table,” said Pioli in the pre-match press conference on Friday.
“It will be a game between two strong teams that are in fine form. We have a similar record in recent months; there is not much between both teams. Details will make the difference and the team that manage to expose the other team’s weaknesses will win,” he added.
When asked whether Salah’s side would be a hurdle for Inter, Pioli said: “I think that there will be great duels in several zones on the field. We have to be superior in individual duels.”
