Roma grabbed a fantastic 3-1 away win over Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza, thanks to a brilliant double by Radja Nainggolan.

Inter: Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Murillo, Medel; Candreva, Gagliardini, Kondogbia, Perisic; Brozovic, Icardi, Joao Mario

Roma: Szczesny; Rudiger, Manolas, Fazio, Juan Jesus; De Rossi, Strootman; Salah, Nainggolan, Bruno Peres; Dzeko

Egyptian international Salah started his second Serie A game for Roma after returning from international duty at the AFCON 2017.

The away side started the brightest and got their due rewards with 11 minutes on the clock. Nainggolan cut in from the left hand side and powered a beautiful 20-yard strike into the top corner of Handanovic’s goal.

A low shot from Dzeko was palmed away by Handanovic with 36 minutes gone, keeping the score at 1-0.

Then, on the other side of half time the Belgian found his second of the game. Nainggolan ran 40 yards from within his half and again picked out the top corner with a fantastic shot.

Salah was subbed off for Perotti with 20 minutes to go in the game.

With 10 minutes left on the clock Ivan Perisic fed the ball across the six yard box and Mauro Icardi hit the back of the net to give Inter something to fight for.

Medel fouled Dzeko in the closing minutes of the game to give Roma a penalty. Perotti calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to give back Roma their two goal lead.

Vermealan came off the bench for Peres to close off the 3-1 win for the away side.

After this result, the gap between Roma and Juventus has closed to seven points. Roma’s next game is Lazio in their Copa Italia semi-final first leg tie on the 1st of March.
