An Egyptian court has sentenced on Tuesday four members of Ultras Ahlawy group to 15 years in prison and a juvenile to five years over violence-related charges.

The case dates back to December 2014, as the members of Al Ahly supporters group were convicted of using force and violence, vandalising public and private properties and illegally possessing explosives during a basketball game between Al Ahly and Zamalek.

Earlier this month, Egypt’s Court of Cassation upheld death sentences for 10 men over their involvement in the 2012 Port Said Stadium massacre, which left 72 of Al Ahly football fans dead.

The defendants were found guilty on charges of murder and attempted murder of Al Ahly fans after a match between Al Ahly and Al Masry on Feb.1, 2012.
