Egypt International Mohamed Salah played 69 minutes in AS Roma’s 2-0 defeat to rivals Lazio in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final.

From the beginning of the match, Lazio had control and created better chances. Sergej opened the scoring for his side around the half-hour mark as he fired the ball into the top corner after a Felipe Anderson assist.

AS Roma looked better in the early stages of the second half and started to have more opportunities including a chance by Salah, whose shot hit the post at the one-hour mark.

Three minutes later, the Giallorossi made their first substitution as Diego Perotti came on to replace Leandro Paredes. Not long after, Salah made way for Stephan El Shaarawy.

Lazio doubled their lead 12 minutes from time when substitute Keita Balde squared for Ciro Immobile to score from close range.

The second leg will be played on April 5.
