Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has spoken about Ramadan Sobhi ahead of his side’s game against Manchester City on Wednesday.

Sobhi will hope to replicate his fine form against Middlesbrough when the Potters face Manchester City, as they hope to continue their fine form and get close to eighth-placed West Brom.

“We can’t get too ahead of ourselves with Ramadan – he is a young guy. We have progressed him at the right rate & will continue to do so,” The Welshman said in his press conference on Monday.

“In fairness to Ramadan Sobhi he is making an impact and is in the team on merit. He is very level-headed, but we are excited by him,” he added.

Stoke City are currently ninth in the English Premier League with 35 points, five points behind West Brom, who will face Everton at the Goodison Park on Saturday, March 11.
