Ramadan Sobhi’s agent, Nader Shawky, warned that his client still has a long way to go and that he is progressing gradually this season with Stoke City.

Sobhi has delivered an excellent display for the Potters on Sunday in their 2-0 home victory against Middlesbrough in the Premier League, which forced coach Mark Hughes and team captain Ryan Showcross to heap praise on the Egyptian prodigy’s.

Despite his impressive showing against the Boro, Shawky insisted it is so early to speak about any potential move away from Stoke.

“Ramadan took the season a step by step and is going to progress in the same manner, he just needed to adapt to the environment and the playing style [of the Premier League],” Shawky told ON Sport.

“He [Ramadan] still hasn’t done anything, he is staying at Stoke. Playing one good game doesn’t mean he will move to a big club. Of course we are ambitious but we have to study everything well, sending him to another club now will not be a good choice for him. He first has to become Stoke’s best player then think about moving to another club, obviously with Stoke’s consent and the transfer fee they decide but it is so early to discuss such things.”
