Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ – SC Braga (Portugal)

March 11 – Primeira Liga – Egypt’s Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ was excluded from the squad due to injury as Chaves held Braga to a goalless draw in the 25th fixture of the league. Sam Morsy – Wigan Athletic (England)

March 11 – The Championship – Wigan Athletic suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at home against relegation rivals Bristol City in the 37th round of The Championship. Egypt international Sam Morsy missed the game as he is serving a two-match ban. The only goal came through Aden Flint in the 88th minute. Following the defeat, the Latics remain in 23rd position with 34 points, four away from safety. They will face Aston Villa on March 18.

Omar Gaber – Basel (Switzerland)

March 12 – Swiss Super League – Omar Gaber remained on the bench as Basel avoided a potential banana skin with a 1-0 win away at Sion. After a quiet first half, the full-backs combined as Traore found Michael Lang who got his second goal in his last two games. The win means Basel are 17 points clear at the top of the league, as they play at home against fellow giants Grasshopper in their next game.

Amr Warda – PAOK (Greece)

March 12 – Greece Super League – Amr Warda played for 55 minutes as PAOK suffered a 3-0 defeat against AEK Athens in gameweek 24 of the league. Sergio Ezequiel Araujo scored for the hosts in the first minute of the game. PAOK were forced to play with 10 men after Stilianos Malezas was sent off for a second booking in the 53rd minute. Two minutes later, Warda made way for Marin Leovac. Araujo doubled his side’s lead five minutes from time, before Christos Aravidis made it 3-0 in the last minute.
