Trézéguet’s early goal helps Mouscron avoid relegation

Mahmoud Trézéguet opened the scoring for Mouscron as they defeated Kortrijk 2-0 and avoided relegation from Belgium Pro League.

This win sees Mouscron settle in 15th place with 24 points, while Westerlo’s 4-0 defeat to Genk saw them sit in 16th position with just 23 points.

Trézéguet started the game playing on the left wing and managed to grab the first goal of the game in the 34th minute. He easily collected a cross in the penalty box and slotted home from a one-time shot.

A quick start to the second half saw Kortrijk’s Kovacevic score an own goal to give Mouscron a 2-goal lead.

Trézéguet was substituted off in the 90th minute after a memorable goal that the supporters won’t soon forget.
