Ramadan Sobhi played 90 minutes for Stoke before being substituted off in their 2-1 defeat to Premier League leaders Chelsea at the bet365 Stadium.

The match began in Chelsea’s favor, who were without 2015 PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard. A 13′ minute foul led to a direct free kick goal from Willian, who beat Lee Grant at his near post.

Stoke did manage to respond with a goal, but it was disallowed as the linesman ruled a foul occurred prior to Martins Indi heading home a corner.

In the 38th minute, a penalty was given against Gary Cahill for a trip from behind on Jon Walters, who calmly slotted away the penalty.

The second half saw Chelsea dominate most of the possession as they looked for an equalizer. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte decided to change his tactics and formation, but it was Gary Cahill redeeming himself with a scrappy goal off a corner after Erik Pieters botched his clearance.

In the last few minutes of the game, Stoke saw more of the ball and threatened the Chelsea goal, but they were unable to break through. Phil Bardsley was sent off for a second yellow card offence in added time.

Stoke’s next match is April 1st, when they play current Premier League champions Leicester City. Stoke currently sit 9th in the league table.
