EFA: 20,000 fans allowed to attend Egypt’s friendly against Togo

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) revealed that 20,000 fans will be allowed to attend Egypt’s upcoming friendly match against Togo.

The Pharaohs will host Togo at Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria on Tuesday, March 28 in a friendly in preparation for the team’s away match against Tunisia in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Pharaohs were drawn in Group J alongside Tunisia, Niger and Swaziland.

The EFA executive director Tharwat Sweilam said they were given the go-ahead by security officials to allow 20,000 fans to attend the Pharaohs’ encounter.

Sweilam added that the tickets will be available for purchase 48 hours prior to the game.

Egypt head coach Héctor Cúper revealed his 24-man squad for the Pharaohs’ upcoming training camp ahead of Togo friendly. The Argentinian coach called up 10 international players in the squad, including Denmark-born Alexander Jakobsen and Wigan’s Sam Morsy.
