Volleyball: Red Devils beat Ahli Benghazi 3-1 in African Club Championship
Al Ahly volleyball team managed to defeat Al Ahli Benghazi 3-1 in the third and final round of group A of the 2017 African Volleyball Clubs Champions Championship.
It was clear from the start of the game that Al Ahly was aiming to finish on top of a group with a third win as the team successfully won the first two sets 25-19 and 25-17. Al Ahli Benghazi tried to stop the Egyptian side’s advantage and were able to narrowly win the third set 24-26 before Al Ahly sealed the game by winning the third set 25-17.
The African Clubs Champions Championship is currently held in Tunis, Tunisia, from 17 to 28 March 2017. Egyptian clubs won the tournament’s title 17 times before.
