Volleyball: Al Ahly reach African Club Championship semi-finals

Al Ahly have defeated Kenyan side Prisons 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the African Club Championship in Tunisia.

The Red Devils qualified to the quarter-finals after winning all of their three games in the group-stages against Cameroon’s Bafia 3-0, Espérance de Tunis 3-0, and Libya’s Ahli Benghazi 3-1.

Al Ahly started the game brilliantly by winning the first set 25-15, then continued their dominance in the second set, which ended 25-13 to the Egyptian side, before finishing the game 25-19 to reach the semi-finals.

Record holders Al Ahly will face Algerian side Bou Arréridj in the semi-finals, after the latter defeated Cameroon’s FAP Yaoundé in the quarter-finals.

The African Clubs Champions Championship is held in Tunis, Tunisia, from 17 to 28 March 2017.
