SQUASH: Potential all Egyptian men’s final awaits ahead of semi-finals

The Allam British Open 2017 could potentially see an all Egyptian final on the Men’s side, while the women are represented by Egyptian Nour El Sherbini.

Egyptian squash players keep proving their worth in every competition they star in. The Allam British Open 2017 has been underway for four days.

The semi-finals’s are going to be played today, which sees Egyptian Mohamed El Shorbagy, top of the world according to PSA rankings, face England’s Nick Matthew, ranked 4th, in a very exciting match. Egypt’s Ramy Ashour, who’s currently ranked 5th best player will face France’s Gregory Gaultier, who’s rated the third best player in the world. There is a possibility of an all Egyptian final, which is not the first time it happens.

On the women’s side, Nour El Sherbini, top of the world, will face England’s Laura Massaro who’s ranked 5th today in the semis. Nour El Sherbini booked her place in the semis after beating Emily Whitlock.
