Egypt test goal-line officials during Zamalek friendly
The goal-line referees was tested for the first time in Egypt during Zamalek and El-Plastic friendly match on Sunday.
This comes following the Zamalek and Misr El-Maqassa controversy when referee Gehad Greisha denied White Knights a second-half penalty-kick.
“The goal-line official trial during our friendly match against El-Plastic is a good decision and a step towards better refereeing in the league,” said Zamalek director of football Ismail Youssef.
It is worth mentioning that Zamalek coach Mohamed Helmy, who recently announced his departure from the White Castle , led the team during Sunday’s friendly, which ended in a 4-0 victory for the Cairo giants.
