Ghanaian officials banned for sexual harassment

Two Ghanaian officials banned for sexual harassment

Ghana’s officials Isaac Addo and Nanabanyin Eyison have been banned for sexual harassment during the 2016 U-20 Women World Cup in Papua New Guinea.

The acting FA General Secretary Addo and Eyison, member of the GFA’s Executive Committee and also chairman of the management committee of the Ghana’s female U-20 team, have been banned by FIFA for nine months and six months respectively.

According to reports, the two Ghanaian officials sexually harassed a hotel attendant when they were inspecting the rooms for the U-17 Ghanaian female national team at the 2016 U-17 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.

However, they have appealed against the decision as they claim that they only made some comments in the local dialect, which are considered as sexist per the laws of Papua Guinea.
