Tunisia manager: Loss to Morocco will prepare us for Egypt clash
Tunisia national team manager Henryk Kasperczak is hopeful and confident of his team’s ability, and claimed that the Tunisian team’s loss to Morocco in a friendly will help them prepare for their clash with Egypt.
Tunisia faced Cameroon and the Morocco in this international break, losing to both with a 1-0 scoreline, but Kasperczak claimed that the losses will help them improve.
“The Moroccan team caused us a lot of problems and threats in front of goal, because their players have strong technical abilities,” he said, and continued, “the loss is a valuable lesson for us and a reminder to fix our weaknesses in the next period before our clash with Egypt in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.”
Egypt were drawn with Tunisia Niger and Swaziland in Group J of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers, which will kick-off in March of next year. The two North African teams met earlier this year in a friendly ahead of the 2017 AFCON, and it ended with the Pharaohs wining thanks to a late goal.
“We have to work on our offense and strengthen it in the upcoming period,” he concluded.
