Volleyball: Al Ahly beat Degla to win women’s Egypt Cup

Al Ahly’s women volleyball team managed to claim Egypt Cup title after beating opponents Wadi Degla 3-1 on Friday.

Al Ahly claimed a 19-25 win in the first set before continuing their dominance in the second set, which ended with a comfortable 25-12 win in favour of Al Ahly. Wadi Degla then made it 2-1 after winning the third set at 25-21. The Red Devils, however, managed to secure the title with a 25-22 victory in the fourth set.

Al Ahly had reached the competition’s final after beating arch-rivals Zamalek 3-0 in the semi-final on Thursday, while Degla defeated Ashab el-Geyad 3-0.

Al Ahly men’s team recently won the African Volleyball Club Champions Championship title after beating Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel 3-1 in the final front of their home fans.
