Momen Soliman: Zamalek is a big club

Ex-Zamalek and current Smouha coach, Momen Soliman, expressed his delight after defeating the White Knights 2-0 in the Egyptian Premier League.

Smouha found the net twice through Ahmed Hassan Mekky and Ahmed Nabil Manga to secure the win and claim the three points.

In the post-match conference, Soliman expressed his delight after the win stating, “Thank God we were successful to score twice in the first half, which gave us the advantage throughout the match. The players implemented the instructions very well especially the defensive ones. I would like to thank them all.”

“Zamalek is a big club, and defeating them gives us a confidence boost before we travel to South Africa to face Bidvest Wits FC in the African Confederation Cup.”

On changing his game plan, Soliman said, “I did not change my game philosophy to beat Zamalek and played with an offensive plan. We were the most threatening team throughout the game and I will continue to play my way.”

When asked about signing new players to win the league, he stated,”There are no players in any team that could guarantee the win for any team in the world, even if it was Messi.”

After this game, Smouha jumps to 40 points in the 5th place of the table, leaving them level on points with 3rd and 4th place Zamalek and Al Masry.
