Elmohamady reflects on West Ham victory
Egypt international and Hull City right back Ahmed Elmohamady spoke about the Tigers’ latest win in the English Premier League against West Ham United and the team’s upcoming encounter against Middlesbrough.
Elmohamady started the game against West Ham United which Hull won 2-1 and played the full 90 minutes as his team earned three important points needed to avoid relegation this season.
“Matches are always hard at this point because it is the end of the season. It was a good win and we can do the same next Wednesday,” he told Hull City official website when asked about how hard the encounter against West Ham was. “We proved to everyone, especially in the second half, that we can fight for every single point.”
The Tigers’ next game will be against Middlesbrough on Wednesday, April 5, at the KC Stadium. Last game between the two sides ended with a 3-0 victory for the Tigers.
“Second half was much better for us, we had good chances and scored two goals,” he added. “Things worked better for us with two strikers, it helped the midfielders to find more options and of course helped them make better passes.”
The 29-year-old assured that he is satisfied with Marco Silva’s new signings while confirming that all players are doing their best to help the team and help the manager.
When asked about Wednesday’s game Elmohamady said: “We’ll start getting ready right away Middlesbrough’s clash, they are behind us in the table but they are close. It will be different than last year’s match because this time we’re all fighting for our lives.”
