right-back spoke about the importance of his side’s match against relegation rivals Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

Middlesbrough are 19th in the league standings with 23 points from 29 games whereas Hull City are in 18th place with 27 points from 30 games, just one point away from safety.

After coming from behind to beat West Ham United 2-1 over the weekend, Elmohamady spoke about the importance of continuing strong against Middlesbrough.

“It was a great result and a massive three points for us on Saturday. Everything changed in the second half,” Elmohamady said in the press conference ahead of their home match against Middlesbrough.

After Andy Carroll opened the scoring for the visitors in the 18th minute, the Tigers pulled off a second-half comeback with Andrew Robertson and Andrea Ranocchia scoring in the 53rd and 85th minutes to claim a 2-1 win.

“It worked better in the second half for us for some reason and now we go into tomorrow night’s game with confidence,” Elmohamady added.

“Our home form has been fantastic under Marco Silva and it will be key to us staying up,” ELmohamady pointed out.

Marco Silva took over at Hull City in January to succeed Mike Phelan who was sacked by the club. The Portuguese coach managed to collect 14 points from 10 games since his appointment, helping his side to climb to within touching distance of safety.

“Of course, everyone wants to be out of the bottom three, especially tomorrow, it’s a big game for us.

“With eight games coming, it’s massive. They’re all cup finals, but I think the most important game is this one,” he added.
