Arsenal managed to grab their first Premier League win since February, thanks to second-half goals from Ozil, Walcott and Giroud.

Tensions surrounding the game were high following protests for the removal of Arsenal Wenger. A much changed Arsenal side saw Elneny start in central midfield, with Welbeck leading the line.

Arsenal: Martinez, Bellerin, Mustafi, Gabriel, Monreal, Elneny, Xhaka, Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Welbeck
West Ham: Randolph, Byram, Fonte, Collins, Masuaku, Kouyate, Noble, Antonio, Lanzini, Ayew, Carroll

A timid first-half saw the best chance fall to Welbeck. Sanchez’s floated free-kick fell nicely for the striker, but his lack of contact made it easy for Randolph.

The home side started the second-half brightly, and their continued pressure was rewarded. Ozil received the ball on the edge of the 18-yard box and curled his shot under Randolph. The West Ham keeper complained of offside, however his complaints were not vindicated.

Ten minutes later Arsenal grabbed their second of the game. Walcott angled finish into the bottom corner came after brilliant wing interplay involving Sanchez and Ozil.

With 15 minutes to go, Elneny was subbed for Aaron Ramsey, whilst Oxlade Chamberlain came on for Walcott.

Substitute Olivier Giroud closed off the game with a fine curling finish around Randolph, to make the score 3-0.

The Gunners now sit in 5th place, four points behind Manchester City. Their next game is away to Crystal Palace on 10th April.
