World number 8 Ramy Ashour has found himself forced to withdraw from El Gouna International tournament which is set to kick off on April 7.

El Gouna International tournament is will start on Friday, April 7 and proceed until April 15, with Ashour set to miss out on it due to injury having won the title on three occasions in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

Ashour had sustained a hamstring during the final of Allam British Open last month that costed him the title and was obliged to withdraw from the tournament as he needs more time in order to recover.

The 29-year-old will be replaced as the event’s number five seed by former World No.1 James Willstrop.
