Following his appointment as a part of Zamalek’s new coaching staff earlier this week, Mohamed Salah has declined to continue in his role as the senior team assistant coach.

Helmy was hired by Zamalek board as an assistant coache in the new coaching staff of the recently designated Portuguese manager Augusto Inácio.

Nonetheless, reports have circulated that Inácio opposed the presence of Salah as one of his coaching staff members.

Zamalek board member Ahmed Mortada Mansour confirmed Salah’s departure from the staff accompanying the former Sporting Lisbon manager.

It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah was appointed as Zamalek’s caretaker for just one game against bottom of the Egyptian Premier League table Sharkia on Wednesday, which have seen the White Castle suffer a shock 1-0 defeat.
