Ahmed Soliman announces candidacy for Zamalek’s presidency

Zamalek’s ex-board member and Egypt national team former goalkeeping coach, Ahmed Soliman, announced that he will run for Zamalek’s presidency in the upcoming elections.

Soliman, who was also the former club football director, quit his position after a disagreement with the club’s president, Mortada Mansour, over the return of Mahmoud Abdelrazik ‘Shikabala’ back to the club.

On his Facebook page, Soliman stated, “With all respect to Zamalek fans and the noble board members, who wished that I could run for presidency, I officially announce today that I will run for the club’s presidency.”

He added, “No matter what it costs, even if it was my life, I will work on removing whomever insulted or abused this great entity.”
