VIDEO: Warda assists in PAOK crucial league win
Amr Warda featured in PAOK’s win against Panathinaikos and assisted his side’s second goal as they won 3-0 in the 28th round of the Greek Super League.
The 23-year-old started his eighth PAOK game and played the full 90 minutes, providing his 7th assist of the season and the third with PAOK.
Pedro Henrique opened the score for PAOK after 18 minutes, before Croatia international Marin Leovac converted Warda’s cross, doubling their lead in the 27th minute. Yevhen Shakhov made it 3-0 eight minutes later, ending the first-half and the game 3-0.
The former Al Ahly and Ittihad of Alexandria winger received his fifth yellow card of the season two minutes before half-time.
After this result, PAOK are second in the Greek Super League with 55 points, six points behind leaders Olympiacos, and three above third-placed Panionios.
Their next game will be against Panathinaikos again, but this time in the Greek Cup Semi-finals on Wednesday, April 12 at Athens Olympic Stadium.
