Egypt national team player Amr Warda expressed his enthusiasm for PAOK upcoming games against Panathinaikos in the Superleague and the Greek Football Cup.

Warda is ready to lead his team against Panathinaikos on Sunday in the 31st round of the Superleague and continue chasing league leaders Olympiakos. PAOK is currently second with 52 points while Olympiakos are on top of the league with 60 points.

The upcoming clash will be very important for Warda’s side since Panathinaikos are right behind PAOK’s tail in third place with 51 points. “Two of the biggest teams in the country face each other. We expect two huge games. Both sides are after the second place in the standings and the Greek Cup final,” Warda told Novasports TV. The two sides will face again on April 12 in the Greek Football Cup.

“They have improved considerably compared to the first half of the season. They are a great team, both matches will be tough but we want to win them both,” he added on Panathinaikos.

Warda played 17 matches in the Greek league this season with his former and current clubs. He managed to score four goals and made three assists.

The former Al Ahly player also commented on his side’s inconsistent performance and said: “We are trying to improve in each game. We defeated Panionios, AEL Larissa and Atromitos. We want to keep winning and improving further.”

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
