Hesham Mohamed confirms Al Ahly talks
Misr El-Maqassa’s playmaker Hesham Mohamed confirmed negotiations from Al Ahly assuring that he is only thinking about the current season with El-Maqassa.
Mohamed is a product of the Red Devils’ youth sector. After playing for the senior team, the 27-year-old was loaned to Smouha in 2011 and then to Ittihad El-Shorta before joining Misr El-Maqassa in 2012 on a free transfer move.
“Al Ahly discussed with me returning to the club, but right now I’m only focused on winning with El-Maqassa,” he told ON Sport TV channel. “I’m currently focused on performing well, that is my personal challenge. I want to help my team win in every match.”
Mohamed’s contract with El-Maqassa ends by the end of next season. The player has the right to sign for any club in January and officially move in summer of 2018.
The former Al Ahly player’s remarkable performance with his team was the number one reason for attracting the Red Castle’s attention. Mohamed scored two goals and made four assists this season in 23 appearances. His team is currently in second place in the Egyptian Premier League seven points behind the Cairo-giants.
