OFFICIAL: Ashraf Kassem resigns as El-Dakhleya manager
Ashraf Kassem has resigned as manager of El-Dakhleya following a string of poor results, the former Ghazl El-Mahalla manager confirmed on Monday.
The news comes just one day after bottom-placed Nasr Lel Ta’adeen defeated El-Dakhleya 1-0, which made the latter fell down to the relegation zone, one point behind 15th-placed Aswan.
El-Dakhleya are facing the threat of relegation as they only managed to win one point from their last five league games, as well as getting knocked out of the Egyptian Cup by Al Ahly.
The 50-year-old took charge in 12 matches across all competitions, won two, drew five and lost five, leaving the team in the 16th place in the Egyptian Premier League.
El-Dakhleya’s next game will be against fellow strugglers Entag El-Harby, who sit 13th in the league with 22 points. The game will take place at Gehaz El-Reyada Stadium on Sunday, April 16.
