Smouha: Mahlambi and Domingues are Wits’ key players
Smouha chairman Farag Amer has revealed that Bidvest Wits are the strongest team Smouha will ever play against ahead of their encounter in the Confederation Cup.
The Blues will face the South African side at Borg El-Arab, Alexandria on Saturday, April 15 in round of 32 of the CAF Confederation Cup as they hope to reach the group-stages.
Smouha still dreaming of a possible place in the group-stages after a goalless draw at the Clever Boys’ ground last week, but Amer is worried about Bidvest’s duo Mahlambi and Domingues.
“I hope a large number of fans would attend to support Smouha in the crucial game against Bidvest Wits at Borg El-Arab on Saturday,” Amer wrote on his Facebook account.
“It is worth mentioning that this is the strongest team Smouha will ever play against in their history. Their two key players are number 27 (Phakamani Mahlambi) and 11 (Domingues).
“We can definitely defeat them with our players’ hardwork led by our great manager Momen Soliman,” he concluded.
Smouha are currently fourth in the Egyptian Premier League with 40 points, while Bidvest Wits sit second with 44 points, only one point behind leaders Cape Town City, but Wits have two games in hand.
