Barakat returns as Al Ahly announce squad against Aswan

Al Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry announced his 22-man squad for the team’s clash with Aswan FC in gameweek 22 of the Egyptian Premier League.

The squad witnessed the return of midfielders Amr Barakat and Karim Nedved. On the other hand, Momen Zakaria, Bassem Ali, Akram Tawfik, Hussein El-Sayed, Emad Meteb, and Saleh Gomaa were all excluded from the squad.

Egypt international Ahmed Hegazy will also miss out due to injury.

Al Ahly will be looking to extend their lead at the top as they’re currently on 61 points, seven points ahead of second-placed Misr El-Maqassa. Meanwhile, Aswan sit 15th in the standings on 18 points.

Al Ahly squad:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Mohamed El-Shennawy, Ahmed Adel.
Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Hany, Saad Samir, Mohamed Naguib, Rami Rabia, Aly Maaloul, Sabry Raheel.
Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Amr El-Sulaya, Abdallah El-Said, Waleed Soliman, Ahmed Hamoudi, Mido Gaber, Amr Barakat, Karim Nedved.
Forwards: Amr Gamal, Souleymane Coulibaly, Junior Ajayi.

Al Ahly, who defeated Ittihad of Alexandria in their previous game, will face Aswan FC at Aswan Stadium on Sunday at 21:15 CLT.
