Captain Kahraba leads Ittihad to victory over Al-Qadisiyah in Saudi league
Egypt international Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim ‘Kahraba’ scored to help Ittihad FC secure a 3-2 victory away at Al-Qadisiyah FC in the 23rd round of the Saudi Professional League.
Zamalek loanee captained the Tigers for the first time on the day after his 23rd birthday, despite joining the club just last summer.
Ittihad managed to take a very early lead after four minutes through Ahmed Akaichi. The Tunisian international tapped Carlos Villanueva’s free-kick into the back of the net.
However, Qadisiyah managed to equalize in the 35th minute through Brazilian Bismark, who followed up on the Ittihad goalkeeper’s save into the net.
But it was Ittihad’s captain Kahraba who put his side into the lead once again in the second minute of additional time.
Kahraba benefited off a poor pass from Qadisiyah’s defender to his goalkeeper, as he went one-on-one against the keeper before finding the net through his legs to give Ittihad a narrow advantage at the half-time.

15 minutes into the second half, Ahmed Akaichi scored again to double Ittihad’s lead after meeting Ammar Al-Najar’s cross into the net with his left foot.
Four minutes later, Bismark pulled one back for the hosts with an unstoppable strike on the edge of the penalty box that left Ittihad’s goalkeeper with no chance.
Nevertheless, in the dying moments of the game, Ammar Al Najar secured the three points for the visitors, scoring Ittihad’s fourth goal.
Kahraba’s goal takes him to second in the top scorers standings with 15 from 18 matches; seven goals behind Syria’s Omar Al Soma.
