Hossam El-Badry: Aswan game will be difficult for us
Al Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry has expressed his concerns about his side’s next game against Aswan in the 22nd round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Premier League leaders will travel to Aswan to face the latter on Sunday, April 16, but their manager El-Badry is not reassured ahead of the game.
“Aswan match is one of seven important league matches in this stage. It will be difficult for us,” El-Badry told Al Ahly TV.
“Aswan have added more strength to their squad in the January transfer window by signing six players, which affected their performance and made them undefeated in their last six matches.
“The second-half of the season is always difficult since every team aims to compete for the title or escape relegation, or even to achieve a good result against Al Ahly.
“We have watched many games for Aswan, and I am confident that the players will be on the level of the responsibility to win the game and take one step closer to the title,” El-Badry concluded.
The Reds currently top the Egyptian Premier League with 61 points, seven points ahead of second-placed Misr El-Makasa, while Aswan sit 15th with 18 points, only one point ahead of the relegation zone.
