El-Maqassa: We are ready to face Zamalek anytime
Misr El-Maqassa stated that their team is ready to face Zamalek anytime and under any circumstances after the White Knights failed to show up to the league clash.
The game was to be played on April 15, but the EFA changed the date of the fixture to April 16, citing security reasons, as the match collided with the Coptic Christians Easter holiday celebration. However, Zamalek’s chairman Mortada Mansour challenged the EFA’s decision and decided not to let his team show up to the match.
Maqassa’s executive manager, Bakry Selim, stated, “I had a conversation with Zamalek’s board member, Ahmed Mortada Mansour, on Saturday and informed him that the Fayomi club will not ally with Zamalek or take any decision until five minutes before the game begins.”
He added, “We prepared for the game and set a training camp to get ready for this crucial clash. Then we attended the match; yet, the opponent did not show up.”
“After all, we are still ready to face Zamalek again any time and under any circumstances,” said Selim.
