Al Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry spoke after the team’s last match against Aswan saying that he is pleased with Souleymane Coulibaly’s performance and assured that the club did not win the title yet.

The Red Castle is still on top of the Egyptian Premier League after beating Aswan 2-0 in the 24th fixture on Sunday. Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly scored his team’s second goal and his fourth in the league after translating Ahmed Fathi’s cross with a superb diving header.

“I am happy that Coulibaly continues to score goals and I’m also happy that he is fitting well with the team,” El-Badry told the press after the match.

The coach also commented on the average performance by his players in the second half saying: “I knew that this match was going to be hard since Aswan is fighting to avoid relegation. We achieved our goals before the second half started, that’s why our performance declined a bit,” he added.

At the end of the post-match press conference, the coach wanted to ensure that Al Ahly did not win the title yet and that the coming fixtures will be very hard.

It’s worth mentioning that Al Ahly have conceded just four goals in 24 league matches this season, keeping 21 clean sheets. The team is currently on top of the league table with 64 points.
