Zamalek to pay a portion of Agogo’s unpaid wages
Egyptian side Zamalek have decided to pay a portion of former forward Junior Agogo’s unpaid wages on Sunday.
The Ghanaian joined Zamalek from English side Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2008, but terminated his contract with the Whites just nine months after joining them due to unpaid dues.
Agogo filed a complaint against Zamalek, and the latter received a letter from FIFA ordering them to pay him his remaining wages which valued around $450,000.
After the court’s decision, the Whites are going to pay a portion of Agogo’s unpaid wages on Sunday as they previously met with the player’s lawyer and agreed on scheduling the rest of the amount.
It’s worth mentioning that Junior Agogo, who has retired in 2012, made only 16 appearances for the Whites, scoring four goals, three in the league and one in the Champions League against rivals Al Ahly.
