Former Egypt manager Hassan Shehata has resigned from his post as Petrojet manager after a series of disappointing results.

The 67-year-old has parted ways with the Petroleum club after losing 1-0 to 17th-placed Nasr Lel Taa’deen at Suez Stadium on Thursday.

The former Egyptian national team and Zamalek manager was appointed as the club’s manager last February, taking charge in only ten matches with an overall record of three wins, three draws and four losses.

Petrojet are currently sixth in the Egyptian Premier League with 37 points, five points behind fifth-placed Smouha. Their next game will be against bottom-placed El-Sharkia on Tuesday, May 2.
