Five thousand allowed to attend Al Ahly’s CAFCL games

Major General Sherine Shams, executive director of Al Ahly, stated that five thousand fans will be allowed to attend Al Ahly’s CAF Champions League games in Borg El-Arab.

Shams stated that Al Ahly have received a letter from the Egyptian Football Association, stating that the security authorities have approved fans attendance.

It was detailed in the letter that the Red Devils’ Champions League games will take place at Borg El-Arab stadium, with the presence of a maximum of five thousand fans.

The draw took place in Cairo this month and Al Ahly were pitted in Group D alogside Cameroon’s Coton Sport, Morocco’s Wydad and Zambia’s Zanaco FC.

The Red Devils will play Wydad both home and away in June, and then will face Zanaco and Coton Sport in July.

Al Ahly will kick-off their CAFCL campaign by facing Zambia’s Zanaco FC on the weekend of May 12th, before travelling to Cameroon to face Coton Sport.
