Koffi returns to Zamalek after Ettifaq loan deal ends
Zamalek loanee Mohamed Koffi has bid a farewell message to Saudi side Ettifaq’s fans, as he is set for a return to his parent club.
The 30-year-old defender was loaned to the Saudi side from the Whites last Summer following the accusations directed against him from Zamalek president Mortada Mansour claiming that he has faked an injury.
Koffi made 26 appearances for Ettifaq, scoring twice as he helped his side to 8th place in the Saudi Professional League, but the Burkinabé decided not to stay permanently at the club.
“I have no words to thank you , presidents, players , coaches, technical staff, ettifaq fans thanks for everything , I will never forget you , God bless the team for the coming seasons,” Koffi wrote on his official Instagram account.
The defender joined Zamalek from Iraqi side Duhok in July 2014 and has made over 65 appearances for them, winning the Egyptian Premier League in his first season as well as lifting two Egypt Cups titles.
