Mido names his best Egyptian Premier League player and manager
Wadi Degla’s manager Ahmed Hossam Mido has named El-Maqassa’s Paulin Voavy as the league’s best player, and Hossam El-Badry as the league’s best manager.
Voavy is having a terrific season so far, helping his side to second place in the Egyptian Premier League, while Hossam El-Badry is unbeaten with Al Ahly in 27 league games.
“In my opinion, Hossam El-Badry is the best manager in the Premier League. He improved a lot. He built a team with a solid defense and improved the attack by time,” Mido told ‘Cairo Abu Dhabi’ on ON Sport TV.
“El-Maqassa’s Paulin Voavy is the one I choose for the best player. He is a quality player and his qualities are much higher than the Egyptian Premier League.
“Hesham Mohamed, Ahmed El-Sheikh, and Hussein El-Shahat are also having a great season as well as Abdallah El-Said, although his form has somehow dropped this season, but he is still a key player for Al Ahly.
“Saad Samir improved drastically this season and showed that he is one of Al Ahly’s key players.
“Zamalek are having a very bad season. Individually they’ve got the best team, but football has proved that it’s not about individuals, it’s about the whole team together,” The former Tottenham and Ajax forward added.
