Tunisia international Ahmed Akaïchi slams Zamalek president
Ittihad of Jeddah striker Ahmed Akaïchi attacked Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour after the latter accused him of running after money.
In a recent TV interview, Mortada spoke about Tunisian international Ahmed Akaïchi after he was recommended by teammate Mahmoud Kahraba to join the White Knights. Mortada said that Akaïchi was asking for a lot of money to join the club.
“I would like you to know that even though I respect Zamalek fans and the club’s history I would never want to play in a club that you are in charge of,” the player said on his official Twitter account. “I love Ittihad of Jeddah and its fans and I don’t want to leave the club.”
As for Kahraba’s future, Mansour assured that the Zamalek loanee wants to stay in Saudi Arabia with Ittihad of Jeddah, a feeling that was shared by the club after Kahraba’s impressive displays this season. He said that he will ask for five million dollars to extend his loan deal and $15,000,000 for a final sale.
