Road to Kenya: Ramzy announces squad for Yemen friendly
Egypt locals national team coach Hany Ramzy has announced his 23-man squad for the Pharaohs’ friendly game against Yemen next Sunday.
The squad will join a training camp from the 9th to 14th of March and will face Yemen in a friendly on Sunday, March 14 to prepare for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship qualifier against Morocco next August.
Hany Ramzy’s squad didn’t include any player from Al Ahly or Zamalek, instead he included four players from El-Maqassa and Ismaily, as well as Tanta strike duo Mohamed Gaber and Mohamed Gouda.
Egypt will face Morocco in the the CHAN qualifiers on August 11 in Cairo before facing them a week later in Morocco, with the winner qualifying for the final tournament in Kenya.
Goalkeepers: Emad El-Sayed (Tala’a El-Gaish), Mohamed Awad (Ismaily), Islam Tarek (Tanta).
Defenders: Hussein El-Shahat, Ahmed Samy (Misr El-Maqassa), Mahmoud Alaa, El-Sayed Salem (Wadi Degla), Mahmoud Metwally, Mohamed Bosha (Ismaily), Islam Abou-Salima (El-Sharkia), Karim El-Deeb (Arab Contractors).
Midfielders: Nour El-Sayed (Ittihad of Alexandria), Mohamed Helal (Wadi Degla), Nasser Maher (Petrojet), Ibrahim Hassan (Ismaily), Mohamed Antar (Assiouty Sport), Ahmed Daouda, Hesham Mohamed (Misr El-Maqassa), Ahmed Medbouly, Abd El-Aziz Emam (Nasr Lel Taa’deen).
Forwards: Arafa El-Sayed (Wadi Degla), Mohamed Gaber, Mohamed Gouda (Tanta).
