Mortada: Kahraba wants to stay in Jeddah, Akaïchi after money
Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour spoke about Mahmoud Kahraba’s interest in staying with Saudi side Ittihad of Jeddah and the possibility of signing Tunisian player Ahmed Akaïchi.
Mansour assured that the Zamalek loanee wants to stay in Saudi Arabia with Ittihad of Jeddah, a feeling that was shared by the club after Kahraba’s impressive displays this season. The 23-year-old was also linked with United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira.
Since joining Ittihad, the 23-year-old scored 16 league goals and helped the team win the Crown Prince Cup, all while participating in the 2017 AFCON and being sidelined due to injury late last year.
“He wants to stay with Ittihad of Jeddah. We will ask for five million dollars to extend his loan deal and $15,000,000 for a final sale,” Mansour added. “Zamalek needs Kahraba but Saudi Arabians love him too.”
When asked about signing Tunisian player Ahmed Akaïchi after he was recommended by the Egyptian player to the president, Mansour confirmed but said that Akaïchi is going after money.
