CD Nacional De Madeira was relegated to the Portuguese second division after failing to earn three points from their 32nd fixture against Boavista on Saturday.

Nacional lost their relegation battle after the club was not able to defeat Boavista as their match ended 2-2 leaving the club with only 21 points from 32 matches. Egyptian Pharaoh Ahmed Sayed Zizo who is on loan to the Portuguese side from Lierse was featured in the match but didn’t score.

Zizo’s side led the game with Dejan Mezga’s goal in the 28th minute before Boavista was able to tie the score 10 minutes before the game ended. Zizo and his teammates returned to the game quickly as Okacha Hamzaoui gave his side the lead again in the 42nd minute, yet, Boavista equalized the score a few minutes later from a penalty quick. The two sides shared game domination till the match ended with a tie.

With only two rounds left in the Primeira Liga, Nacional’s tie widened the gap with Moreirense in the 16th place to eight points which made it impossible for the Nationalists to get out of the relegation zone.
